These are a Few of my Favorite Things...Father's Day

Here are a few of my favorite things:

My Kitchen Aid Pro! I've been able to use it a few times this week and I love it so much! I've made cheesecake, cheesy chicken spaghetti, and sopapilla cheesecake for Father's Day!

Next:
Pin-terest...pinterest? What is Pinterest, you ask? Pinterest is a site that allows you to pin the things that you love and that interest you. It creates electronic boards to store your favorites! I am completely obsessed with it! I've gotten my two best friends hooked on it and a few other good friends. I've also annoyed Trevor to death with how much I am on it when I'm bored! It is so awesome! It's pretty stinking awesome! I've been getting a lot of great dinner recipes from here (Trevor loves that part at least)!

Next on my favorites list is the man of the day: my Daddy! : )

My Dad has seriously been my number one fan for the past 21 years. He has provided for all of my needs and pretty much provided for all of my wants as well! He has been a friend and a confidant to me. He has given me great advice throughout the years and helped me make some big decisions in my life. Not only that, but he has also shared his wisdom of the Bible with me! I've learned more under his teaching than I have from anyone else!
Not only has he loved me, but he has also shown Eli, Isaac, and Marley an unconditional love that only a grandfather could give!!

His laugh is contagious for the whole family:

Growing up as a Daddy's girl was the best:

Daddy,
Thank you for all of your love and support throughout the years. Thank you for showing me Jesus' unconditional love. Thank you for always being a huge support in my life and making sure that I have everything that I will ever need! I hope you had a great Father's Day today! I am so glad we were able to spend it as a family! I love you!!!

Our Humble Home

I've been debating putting up pictures of our partially decorated house or not. The fact is that we are both just so happy with how it is coming along! Some of the improvements have made all the difference to us! We are so excited about our first little home! Here are some pictures:

This is our master bedroom! We LOVE our bed spread given to us by my grandma, Arlita, and her husband, Irwin! The baskets underneath our side tables are going to be painted at some point to match the bedspread.

This is our little dining room area! : ) The table is going to be refinished this summer and is a gift from my parents! The chairs are a gift from Gramma and Papaw Sewell. Originally we were going to paint them black, but we are falling in love with this color! The bare wall behind the table is my next project!! I'll be sure to put new pictures up when I finish it!

This is our little book nook! It doesn't even hold all of my books so we are going to have to do something else here! I love the clock from my grandma "Susie" and the bow-quet from Meleena!

This is what you see coming into our kitchen! The island is from my wonderful in-laws, Kenneth and Beth!

Kenneth, Beth, Gramma, and Papaw surprised me with a freshly painted kitchen when we got home from our honeymoon! Prior to this, the walls were a brown/maroon color with peach accenting.

New double vanity in the bathroom!

I really love our shower curtain and accessories!

Living room area! These aren't our couches! We will be getting Love Sac sactionals soon, so these are temporary! :) The lamps are from my Grandma "Susie!" Trevor is threatening to fill them with strange things (peanut butter and jelly, m&ms, random things, etc)

And this is the other side of the living room!! I absolutely LOVE the chest of drawers! :) And the candles to the right are our unity candles from our wedding! :)

This is what we have done thus far! I will update again as we update the house!

He Loves Me Anyway

I haven't really had a very "serious" post in awhile, and I have just the thing for this post! I used to listen to a lot of Kiss FM along with a lot of country music; however, after Kidd Kraddick offended me with a comment about George W., I stopped listening to Kiss FM and KKITM. I began to listen to what I grew up on-KLTY-the Christian radio station. I am absolutely loving worshipping my Jesus in the car every day! It saddens me that I had gotten out of the habit of listening to Christian music in the car.

Anyways, there is one song that has been stuck in my head for weeks. It's called You Love Me Anyway. No matter what I have done, Jesus loves me! I'm certainly not perfect and yet He continues to love me! One line has specifically hit me like a punch in the stomach:

I am Judas' kiss.

Just as Judas betrayed Jesus, I have betrayed Jesus. Just as Judas gave over Jesus to the Roman guards with a kiss, I have sweetly and tactlessly done things to betray my Savior. WOW! I have done so many things and yet Jesus continues to love me and forgive me!

Thank you, Jesus, for your unconditional love for me! Thank you for dying on the cross just to save me! Though I disobey you, you have showed me the love of a parent. You have showed my your mercy, grace, and kindness. I love you!

The question was raised
As my conscience fell
A silly, little lie
It didn’t mean much
But it lingers still
In the corners of my mind
Still you call me to walk
On the edge of this world
To spread my dreams and fly
But the future’s so far
My heart is so frail
I think I’d rather stay inside
But You love me anyway
It’s like nothing in life that I’ve ever known
You love me anyway
Oh Lord, how You love me
How You love me
It took more than my strength
To simply be still
To seek but never find
All the reasons we change
The reasons I doubt
And why do loved ones have to die?
But You love me anyway
It’s like nothing in life that I’ve ever known
You love me anyway
Oh Lord, how You love me
I am the thorn in Your crown
But You love me anyway
I am the sweat from Your brow
But You love me anyway
I am the nail in Your wrist
But You love me anyway
I am Judas’ kiss
But You love me anyway
See now, I am the man that called out from the crowd
For Your blood to be spilled on this earth shaking ground
Yes then, I turned away with this smile on my face
With this sin in my heart tried to bury Your grace
And then alone in the night, I still called out for You
So ashamed of my life, my life, my life
But You love me anyway
Oh, God… how you love me
You love me anyway
It’s like nothing in life that I’ve ever known
You love me anyway
Oh Lord, how You love me
You love me, You love me
You love me, You love me
How You love me
How You love me
How You love me

Wedding Day Candids

Yes, I am posting during the Mavs game! I just can't take the constant heart attack! I thought I would post a few of the wedding candids that we have received so far...I'm dying to see Jillian's pictures, but I am willing to wait! It was such an amazing and beautiful day! Here are some of the candids! :)

Little Miss Marley in the wagon made by Monica! :) Sophie was also a honorary flower girl! I'm hoping someone has a picture of them both in the wagon!

Ryley is just so precious and she looked absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

Silly ring bearers-Eli and Isaac! Eli carried our rings down the aisle and Isaac carried my Grandpa Hallam's Swahili Bible given to me before he died.

The stain glass window always leaves me speechless! :) My wonderful friends, Kim and Carly, did all of our flowers, and I made our unity candle!

My beautiful best friends-Chelsea (left) and Meleena (right) pre wedding.

My dad performed our ceremony along with Rev. Mark Caswell! My dad wrote a special wedding ceremony for my brother and I. It had us all in tears!

Trevor's Marine buddies from MALS-41 were our honor guard for leaving the ceremony and coming into the reception.
At the reception, my sweet Delta Gamma sisters surprised me with this! They sang to me and then to Trevor and me! :) Trevor's a DG man! It was such a special moment for me!

The toasts were absolutely amazing! Nathan (Trevor's brother and best man) did a wondeful job! It was very touching! Meleena (my maid of honor) and Kenneth (Trevor's Dad) also toasted us!!

Most people didn't get to see us cut the cake...(Eli and Isaac did! They were dying for a piece of cake.) I am not was not a Candy Haven fan, but they did an awesome job on our cakes! The wedding cake was strawberry with strawberry filling, white chocolate cake with raspberry filling, butter rum with rasberry filling, and again strawberry with strawberry filling. Trevor's groom's cake was the best marble cake with butter cream filling and chocolate icing that I have EVER had! Kudos to Candy Haven!

THIS picture IS a professional picture and is not a candid shot! Jillian Zamora took this picture! We were so surprised and blessed by Frenchy's generosity to put us on one of his vans! :) It was a lot of fun to go out and take pictures with it! It was an honor-thank you, Frenchy!

So there are some of the pictures! :) I cannot wait to get my hands on Jillian's pictures as well as Justin Lowe's video! I know they are going to be awesome!! And trust me, I will share those pictures as well! Before I end this post, I would just like to say thank you to all of my friends and family who were such a big part of our day! We truly appreciate everyone's help! I am especially greatful to my sweet Mother who was probably definitely a lot more stressed out than me! Thank you for loving me and making sure that my dreams and big day went just as I wanted it! I love you! Thank you, Dad, for your stress and hard work! Thank you for blessing us with the beautiful ceremony that you planned out! We know that there will never be another wedding like it! :) Thank you Ben and Kristen for all of your support through this process! I have THE BEST brother and sister-in-law anyone could ask for! Kristen came to all of my showers and events, helped with wedding prep, nagged Benji to get his suite, got Marley, Eli, and Isaac's adorablel outfits, and so much more! I love you both! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

The Bwessed Awangement of Mawiage

We are MARRIED!!! It is so crazy to look back and think about how slow time seemed to pass and how time actually flew by! We were standing on stage at the ceremony when we both realized that it was actually here!! It was such a beautiful ceremony!! It was seriously a fairy tale dream come true! I am so blessed to have the support of my family, friends, and Trevor!! We really couldn't have done all of it without them! :) The week of the wedding was pretty relaxed! Mom and I went shopping on Monday and had a blast!! We spent Tuesday and Wednesday tying up loose ends and making sure we were ready for Friday. Thursday with the help of Beth (Trevor's step-mom), Grandma Sewell, Mom, Paula, Meleena, and Brenna, we finished all of the favors--cupcakes in a jar! Mmmmm they were so good!! Here are some pictures:

After approximately 26 batches of homemade icing and approximately 20 batches of cupcakes, these are some of our final products! :) We made double chocolate fudge, strawberry, vanilla, lemon, and red velvet cupcakes! They were so tasty and a big hit!

After making hundreds upon hundreds of these favors, we got pedicures and manicures! :)

After manicures and pedicures, we rushed home to get ready for Eli's kindergarden graduatrion along with our rehearsal and rehearsal dinner!! I seriously cannot believe that Eli has already completed kindergarden! I was teary eyed throughout the whole program. He has grown and progressed so much this year! Mrs. Wallace has done an excellent job with him! He has come out of his little shell, has made friends, and learned a lot! Congratulations, Eli! Aunt Kiffidy loves you so very much!

We had our rehearsal immediately following Eli's graduation! I was a little embarrassed because I hadn't eaten and got a bit grippey with people! hehe! Oops! It was a lot of fun and dinner (when the time finally arrived) was magnificent!! Thank you, Kenneth and Beth, for dinner!
